Newcastle’s Mashup Master

If there was an award for music knowledge, DJ Fusion would win it hands down. His sets are a journey of songs that you simply can’t help but dance to! He is well known for dropping insanely good party tracks and genre-bending  at every opportunity - it is a mixing format known as ‘mash-up’.

DJ Fusion started collecting records from a very young age, with an interest in everything from Pop to Glam Rock to Nu Jack Swing, RnB and Hip Hop to Breaks and Funk. By the age of 17 he was working at local station NXFM in programming and production, during which time he became fascinated by Dj’s such as Krafty Kuts, A-Track, Soulwax, 2ManyDJs, DJ Z-Trip and later on Aussie locals like Bang Gang, Tenzin and JimmyZ.

It wasn’t long before he bought his first set of turntables and quickly became established for his unique partyrocking mashup style and special nightclub parties. Since 1999 he has played at some of the best nightclubs in Australia located in cities as widespead as Cairns and Brisbane, Newcastle, Kings Cross, Canberra and Melbourne.

He has supported some of Australia’s best DJ’s including being included on the 4Play national tour with JimmyZ as well as playing alongside Dj’s such as Bang Gang, Tenzin, Stafford Bros, Mobin Master, Acid Jacks, Timmy Trumpet, Bass Kleph & Bag Raiders.
